Video: EU Whistleblower Protection Directive – How WhistleB helps you comply

November 30, 2021

We are delighted to share our latest video to help you comply with the EU Whistleblower Protection Directive. In December 2021, the final EU Whistleblower Directive deadline will be passed, bringing it into full effect. However, many EU territories are behind schedule when it comes to transposing the Directive into national laws. Understandably, organisations all across Europe are left wondering if there is anything they can do to prepare for compliance before the details of their national whistleblower laws are made public.

The answer is yes, and this video on the EU Whistleblower Protection Directive explains what, why and how. In short, the Directive has already laid down a set of minimum requirements that must become part of every EU nation’s laws. Companies can already use these as a basis and thus start compliance preparations.

In the video, Jan Stappers highlights each of these requirements one-by-one, and provides a simple explanation of their implications on organisations. He also describes how WhistleB, as a secure, online whistleblowing solution, and other NAVEX global solutions fulfil the requirements and help organisations move towards compliance.

About the presenter:

Jan Stappers is a Europe-based lawyer at NAVEX Global who has been working with the WhistleB solution for around six years. Jan was part of the working group for the ISO 37002 guidance on Whistleblowing Management Systems. He is responsible for the WhistleB partnership network and is a frequent and popular speaker on the EU Whistleblower Protection Directive and other legal whistleblowing matters.

The video is available in English, with the support of explanatory slides. If your organisation is one of the hundreds of thousands affected, then watching or simply listening to this video on the EU Whistleblower Protection Directive will be 45 minutes of your time well invested.
