WhistleB to speak at ACFE Virtual Fraud Conference Europe
This year’s ACFE Virtual Fraud Conference Europe will take place on 11-12 March 2021, and WhistleB has been invited to join the line-up of speakers. Jan Stappers is the Senior Manager of Partnerships at WhistleB and he will speak about the impact of the EU Whistleblower Protection Directive.
What is the ACFE?
ACFE is the Association of Certified Fraud Experts the world’s largest anti-fraud organisation and it has more than 85,000 members. ACFE is focused on reducing business fraud worldwide and inspiring public confidence in the integrity and objectivity within the profession.
What will WhistleB present at the ACFE Virtual Fraud Conference Europe?
WhistleB’s session will focus on the EU Whistleblower Protection Directive. As a leading, pan-European provider of whistleblowing solutions, WhistleB is perfectly positioned to inform the investigations sector on how this Directive will impact their work and their clients’ business.
The EU Whistleblower Protection Directive will have to be transposed into national law in all EU member states by 17 December 2021. During the session Jan Stappers will provide an update on the status of transposition in the various member states and explain how the new laws will impact business. As whistleblowing is one of the main sources of knowledge about wrongdoing within organisations, the broad scope of the new whistleblower law offers opportunities for the investigations sector.
Through the session participants will:
- Learn about the scope of the EU Whistleblower Protection Directive and the national transpositions.
- Understand how increased whistleblowing management standards affect their organisation and their clients’ businesses.
- Be able to assess how the investigations sector can benefit from the new laws.
Jan Stappers’ session will take place live during the conference on Thursday, March 11, at 10:30am and will last for 50 minutes.
